{Paul and Avalla }

Paul and Avalla, very nice couple. They are our second engagement shoot last Sunday.
Let me tell you how we came to be the photographer of this this two amazing couple.

Months ago they e-mailed us to inquire about our photography services and set up an appointment. We did and they did not show up!!! So my wife, Cecily called but got no response. I guess they forgot their appointment with us since most of the couple planning for their wedding are very busy. We did not heard from them until Paul e-mailed us again. It turned out to be that they allready booked some other photographer but still considering our services.
We did set up a second appointment and we met and talked in person.

Weeks later, they decided to cancel the services of the photographer that they hired and went with us. They lost their deposit and I was flattered that they trusted me to be the one photographing their wedding. So the pressure is on me! I was telling myself I have to do the best job that I can so they would not regret hiring me. Don't get me wrong they are very sweet but I am afraid that I would not top the photograph that the other photographer did for their first engagement session.

So we set the appointment up and was there. To my luck in the middle of the session, it started to rain!!! (You can even see the rain pouring in one of the pictures in this post, I was glad I captured it). They were amazing. They went under the rain with and without umbrella and I did not hear any complaints, they just trusted what I was asking of them and without question they just did it. They did not even ask if the picture will turn out nice!!!

So I came about to ask Paul and Avalla how was the engagemnt session so far and for my curiosity, if there is a differnce between the first engagement shoot that they did with the other photographer and the ones's that we are doing, I always wonder. I wanted to evaluate on how can I improve my approach. I heard all positive things about us and what I learned is that couples appreciated the "thinking out of the box approach." No matter if it rains or anything unexpected happened, it can be a wonderful thing. I enjoy what I do and willing to do everything to turn a rainy day to a sunny session!!! and guess what, I love how everything turned out. Like what we say all the time, the photographer can take care of artistic angles, lighting and everything technical but you cannot change the expreession of your subject. The best photograph comes from the unexpected situation that shows pure feelings and emotions and to be a part of it is something no words can describe... that is why I love what I do and I thank God that he blessed me to do what I love to do....

I can't wait to be at Paul and Avalla's wedding. I am sure that we will enjoy being there! October 1, 2006 is their big day! May God continue to bless you more everyday.
